Уникальный дизайн Ехиднаополиса, разработанный Tikal2007 (glehar-ka) и Супер Кнаксом утерян навсегда, т.к. изображения хранились на сервисе ipicture.ru и были потерты с него еще в 2009 году. В оригинальном шаблоне сайта с левой стороны был изображен Наклз, а справа - Тикал. По центру было изображение города ехидн и космическая ракета.  Our second day of the Needlemouse Challenge has come and gone! Once again, you guys met the challenge and then some, blowing away the 750 goal with a combined total of over 900 correct answers! Fantastic work – looks like some people were paying attention to that momentum comment we made. Today we’ve removed the next two names from the list: Farewell and happy travels to Vector and Tikal, who join the list of characters not making an appearance in Project Needlemouse! Today, the Needlemouse Challenge blazes forward onto the Official Sonic Forums – here are the new community goals!

Welcome back, SEGA fans! In a word: Wow. We were expecting a fairly big reception to the prospect of news on Project Needlemouse – but Sonic fans young and old came out of the woodwork in masses to take on our Trivia, dwarfing our challenge of 250 correct responses with a whopping 700+ within the first 12 hours. That’s one heck of a start, guys – and you all deserve some well-earned kudos for it. As promised, today we’ve removed our first two names from the list! Первой игрой в которой появляется Шэдоу стала игра Sonic Adventure 2. По её сюжету, доктор Эггман пробирается вглубь секретной базы организации G.U.N. — Prison Island, услышав что там хранится совершенное оружие. Когда доктор достиг своей цели и вставил Изумруд Хаоса в капсулу, то обнаружил в ней тёмного ежа. Он говорит Эггману, что благодарен ему, и готов исполнить одно его желание. Дальше Роботник узнаёт про колонию АРК, где находится Eclipse Cannon (Пушка Затмения). Это мощнейшее оружие может уничтожить всю планету, если вставить туда Изумруды Хаоса. К Шэдоу с Эггманом присоединяется летучая мышь Руж, и охота за камнями начинается. |

Sonic Unleashed возвращает легендарного игрового персонажа к его корням, где правил теперь уже классический двухмерный геймплей. Разумеется, фундаментом для проекта служит полноценный 3D-движок, но действие происходит в 2D.
